Hello kids!

I leave below the list of activities for the afternoon.
Remember to behave properly and speak English at all times!!!


1) First you must sit in a circle and say how do you feel. You can share your news with your friends.

2) Then you must play 10 minutes of  "lemon-lemon" and 10 minutes of  "saionara"

3) After that you must watch the video of  Goldilocks and the three bears


4) You must go to the park al 2:40


5) After break you must copy the date in your copybooks

6) Then you must DRAW the beginning, middle and end of the story of Goldilocks.

7) Finally you can play "oka game".

First formers started a new project  called ROCK & TALES, where they will learn traditional rock songs and read traditional fairy tales. Our first assignmet: each band must learn their rock song.

LITTLE by LITTLE

Little by little we are getting used to this new world, new people and rules.
Enjoy a summary of our first adventures in first form!!!

1st FORMERS WROK IN GROUPS

In 1st form, kids are getting familiar with different routines used in primary school.
One of them is GROUP WORK. Aiming at independent work, achieving a goal and respecting peers, students are grouped together and must work on one assignment.
Organization in each group is in hands of a "group leader".
This routine ends with a feedback, where each group shows work done, and students can express how each group leader ran the organization.

PAPER PLANES CONTEST

It's because there are only 4 days left to finish our school year, because it was a beautiful afternoon and because we LOVE to have fun, that we've spent the afternoon learning and making our PAPER PLANES. First we watched tutorials, then we invented our plane designs and ended the afternoon with a fantastic contest!! Good job champs!!

Welcome to The Children's Restaurant

"The Rstaurant" is the final production of our Food Project. Kids have enjoyed every moment of the creation of our restaurant. We invited NFS Head teachers to try the best food in town, prepared with love, by the best 1st formers in the planet!!!

FOOD & APPetite: getting ready for The Restaurant

We've had a conversation about restaurants. The discussion was focused on each of the roles and duties performed in a restaurant. We came up with this ideal organization for our own, that already has a name: The Children's Reastaurant...suggested and voted by all 1st form students.

One of these important roles is that of the CHEFF: in this particular case, we are talking about DESSERTS CHEFF (patissiere)..Enjoy his 1st recipe!!!!

DO YOU WANT TO KNOW HOW TO WORK ON A SHARED DOC?

It's easy:
We log in to classroom with our usernames and password.
Then we read the instructions: "write a description about this picture...but in a team, altogether!
Once we are all there..in the DOC sheet we start our description in turns.
OK...we also play for a while..we can't help it,..!!!
But the description is done just on time!!!
And this is how we work in teams..on a DOC sheet.

POPSICLE STICKS AFTERNOON

Because of the HOT weather and their fantastic performances in English Lessons, 1° formers had their prize today!!! POPSICLE STICKS for everyone!!

GOOGLERS IN 1st

1° formers have been working hard on each step required to join Miss Vale's Classroom.

They have learnt their usernames and passwords. They have worked on assignment 1 and published their productions successfuly!!

GOOGLE CLASSROOM STEP 2:

Our first assignment for Classroom is DRAW OUR HOUSES, LABEL THEM  and UPLOAD to GOOGLE CLASSROOM.

We start the lesson with a short revision, since kids must remember how to access and sign in with their user names and passwords.

As students easily systematize the process, it is quite simple to focus on the task and complete it successfuly.

GOOGLE CLASSROOM: Pilot Program

Google offers a platform for schools to work using different applications. It´s an online classroom where students develop and master technology & apps, a perfect excuse to use the language naturally.

Our first assignmet is to learn our "user names". This lesson will provide students a tutorial on how to type their email address (user name). This is the starting point to enter the platform and have access to each lesson.

Enjoy the tutorial!! We are looking forward toworking on the TASK 1 of Google Classroom.

                                           

The three little pigs hangout

1st form students performed "The 3 little pigs" play in a HANGOUT ON AIR.
We were connected with Newland School from Adrogué, and shared a great experience.

HOW TO CREATE A GAME? STEP 1

 Setting the rules is our first step in the creation of a video game. In 1st form we had an open discussion where we shared our opinions. Kids decided which were the main rules for the game, and suggested to make a T chart with CAN and CAN´T columns. Check them out to see how they suggest, solve, and justify each statement!!!
